Helping Hands Foundation

Helping Hands Foundation of Surry County was founded in 2011 with a vision to defeat hunger and poverty in Surry County. We do this by offering our neighbors in need a hand-up while providing essential resources and fostering individual pride and sustainability. We work tirelessly to provide non-perishable food items, clothing, toiletries, utility bill assistance, medical co-pay assistance, and other programs to defeat poverty one family at a time.

In order to accomplish our vision to defeat hunger and poverty in Surry County, we need your help! Create a fundraising page for yourself and get your friends, family, or workplace involved to create a team fundraising page. Help us raise much needed funds to help our neighbors who need it the most! The individual who raises the highest amount of funds will be named our River Rush 5K Fundraising Champion and presented with a plaque as well as a $100 cash prize! The team who raises the most funds will be named our River Rush 5K Fundraising Team Champion and will receive a team plaque and each member of the team will receive a gift card from one of our sponsors!

• Your gift of $25 will provide an elderly couple with water for an entire month.
• Your gift of $50 will provide 20 of our neighbors in need with hygiene products.
• Your gift of $100 will provide a family of four heat and power for an entire month.
• Your gift of $250 will provide more than 100 neighbors in need with food.
